Mongolia and Chendu

Chengdu is a sub-provincial city which has served as capital of China's Sichuan province. It is one of the three most populous cities in Western China (the other two are Chongqing and Xi'an). At the time of the 2010 census, Chengdu was the 5th-most populous agglomeration in China, with 10,484,996 inhabitants. The surrounding Chengdu Plain is also known as the "Country of Heaven" and the "Land of Abundance".

Day 1: Arrive in Chengdu, overnight in Chengdu – Hilton Chengdu:
You will be met and transferred to your hotel in Chengdu. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

 Day 2:  Chengdu-Dujiangyan-Chengdu, Panda Breeding Center, Jinli and hotpot dinner, overnight in Chengdu (B,L,D)   Hilton Chengdu:
Morning drive 2 hours to Dujiangyan for China's living National Treasure in Giant Panda Breeding Center in Dujiangyan, in the afternoon wonder around in Jinli old street and for dinner enjoy a local delicacy – hot pot.

Day 3:  Chengdu-Leshan-Beijing, Leshan Giant Buddha, overnight in Beijing (BL)   Hilton at Beijing Capital Airport:
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Beijing after your visit to Leshan Giant Buddha.
The Leshan Giant Buddha is a 71-metre (233 ft) tall stone statue, built between 713 and 803 (during the Tang Dynasty), depicting Maitreya. It is carved out of a cliff face that lies at the confluence of the Min River and Dadu River in the southern part of Sichuan province in China, near the city of Leshan. The stone sculpture faces Mount Emei, with the rivers flowing below its feet. It is the largest and tallest stone Buddha statue in the world and it is by far the tallest pre-modern statue in the world.

Day 4: Beijing – Ulaanbaatar, overnight in Ulaanbaatar:
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ulaanbaatar.You will be met at the "Chinggis Khan" international airport and transferred to the hotel in the city. After rest, we will start our city tour starting from the Sukhbaatar square. This square is a spirit of the capital and famous for its surroundings including Parliament House, National Opera Theatre, Cultural Palace and House of City Council.  Then we will visit Zaisan Hill that provides wide open view of the Ulaanbaatar. Visit in Dinosaur Museum which is well-known for its precious findings Dinosaur eggs and bones. We will end our day with traditional performance of folk songs, throat singing, horse-headed fiddle, ethnic dances and arty contortion.

Day 5:  Ulaanbaatar   (B, L, D) Overnight in Best Western Premier hotel:
After breakfast, we will visit Gandan Monastery a centre of Mongolian yellow sect Buddhism. We will see the outstanding 24m golden plated statue of Buddha; Megjid Janraiseg. This monastery is the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. Then we go to see Museum of National History which has many colorful exhibits; historical findings, traditional handicrafts and dressing. In the afternoon, we will visit Bogd Khaan Palace Museum; the palace known as the Green Palace. The palace was built in 1903 dedicated to the 8th Bogd Gegeen, the head of lamaist religion and last khan of Mongolia. Amazing bronze castings, silk paintings, paper icons, mineral paintings, god statues made by Zanabazar and his students including a royal ger made out of snow leopard skins are the main attraction of this palace.
 
Day 6:  Gorkhi Terelj National Park (B, L, D) Overnight in traditional ger camp . (2 Pax share one camp, private shower and toilet facilities):
We will drive to the Gorkhi Terelj National Park, located in the Khentii Mountain range. This park is the popular destination because of its gigantic granite rock formations, a famous "Crawling Turtle Rock", alpine forests and flower scenery. Opportunities for horse riding and hiking .Visit nomadic family, taste milk food, explore nomadic lifestyle and Dinner.

Day 7:  Bogd Khaan National Park   (B, L, D)  Overnight in Best Western Premier hotel in Ulaanbaatar:
We will drive to the National Park lies in the south of Ulaanbaatar; Bogd Khaan Mountain has been the most ancient national park of the country since 300 years ago. Several religious ceremonies take place a year near the highest peak of Tsetsee Gun with 2268m. Manzushir Monastery is the key attraction in the area. The monastery was built in the 18th century but was in ruins after the communist purges of 1930s. This monastery was known throughout Mongolia for its religious services and its celebration of Tsam mask dancing. The monastery accommodated 350 monks in 20 temples including school of medicine, astrology and Buddhist philosophy.

Day 8:  Bayangobi   (B, L, D) Overnight in the Hoyal Zagal ger camp (2 Pax share one camp, private shower and toilet facilities):
After breakfast, we will drive to the Bayangobi. It is a unique place with many different forms of natural landscape; combination of a Gobi sand dunes, forests and Rocky Mountains. In the afternoon we will visit Erdene Khambyn Khuree; the monastery is located in the majestic looking Khugnu Khaan Mountain. Enlightened Bogd Gegeen Zanabazar, a religious leader, philosopher, artist and sculptor was founded these Uvgun and Zaluu temples for his religious teacher. The soldiers of Oirad nobleman Galdan boshigt destroyed the monasteries and assassinated the monks in 1688. Horse riding opportunities.

Day 9:  Kharkhorin/Erdenezuu Monastery (B, L, D) Overnight in Hoyal Zagal ger camp. (2 Pax share one camp, private shower and toilet facilities):
After breakfast we will drive to Kharkhorin; an ancient Capital of Great Mongolian Empire and main treasure of Mongolian Buddhism, an Erdenezuu Monastery. Kharkhorin was established in the Valley of Orkhon River in 1220. Kharkhorin played significant role in Mongolian history and was a capital city of Mongolian Great Empire until Khubilai Khaan, a grandson of Chinggis Khaan moved the capital to Beijing of Yuan Dynasty. We will see 800 years old worshipping Turtle Rock near the temple. Erdenezuu Monastery – the first Buddhist monastery was founded by Avtai Sain Khaan, descendant of Chinggis Khaan, on the ruins of Kharkhorin in 1586. The monastery is surrounded by beautiful looking white walls with 108 stupas.

Day10:  Hustain National park- Ulaanbaatar (B, L, D)   Overnight in Best western Premier hotel:
Breakfast we will drive to the Hustai National Park. The park lies in the foothills of southern Khentii mountain range and it is the place where you can see wild horse called Takhi known as Przewalski horse to the world. The wild horses survive in nature by themselves because they have been reintroduced successfully to their homeland after 40 years of extinction. Currently, the number of Takhi has already reached more than 170. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and overnight in Best western Premier hotel.

Day11: Final Departure:
You will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
